Book 91: Interpretation of Dreams · Hadith 42

حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيَّبِ، أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ بَيْنَمَا نَحْنُ جُلُوسٌ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏ "‏ بَيْنَا أَنَا نَائِمٌ رَأَيْتُنِي فِي الْجَنَّةِ، فَإِذَا امْرَأَةٌ تَتَوَضَّأُ إِلَى جَانِبِ قَصْرٍ، فَقُلْتُ لِمَنْ هَذَا الْقَصْرُ فَقَالُوا لِعُمَرَ‏.‏ فَذَكَرْتُ غَيْرَتَهُ فَوَلَّيْتُ مُدْبِرًا ‏"‏‏.‏ فَبَكَى عُمَرُ وَقَالَ عَلَيْكَ بِأَبِي أَنْتَ وَأُمِّي يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَغَارُ

Narrated Abu Huraira:We were sitting with Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) he said, "While I was sleeping, I saw myself in Paradise, and behold, a woman was performing ablution by the side of a palace. I asked, 'For whom is this palace?' They replied, 'For `Umar' Then I remembered the Ghira of `Umar and returned immediately." `Umar wept (on hearing that) and said, " Let my father and mother be sacrificed for you, O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! How dare I think of my Ghira being offended by you

Abu Huraira bataate hain: Hum Allah ke Rasool (SAW) ke saath baithe the, unhone kaha, 'Jab main so raha tha, maine khud ko Jannat mein dekha, aur dekho, ek khaatoon ek mahal ke paas wuzu kar rahi thi. Maine pucha, "Ye mahal kiske liye hai?" Unhone jawab diya, "Umar ke liye." Phir mujhe Umar ki ghairat yaad aayi aur main jaldi se wapas chala gaya.' Umar ne (ye sunkar) rote hue kaha, 'Mere maa-baap aap par qurbaan hon, Aye Allah ke Rasool! Kya main aapke saamne apni ghairat ke naaraaz hone ka khayaal bhi kar sakta hoon?'
