Hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُدْرِكٍ، سَمِعْتُ أَبَا زُرْعَةَ بْنَ عَمْرِو بْنِ جَرِيرٍ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، جَرِيرٍ قَالَ قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ " اسْتَنْصِتِ النَّاسَ ". ثُمَّ قَالَ " لاَ تَرْجِعُوا بَعْدِي كُفَّارًا، يَضْرِبُ بَعْضُكُمْ رِقَابَ بَعْضٍ ".
Narrated Jarir:The Prophet (ﷺ) said to me during Hajjat-al-Wada`, "Let the people keep quiet and listen." Then he said (addressing the people), "Beware! Do not renegade as disbelievers after me by striking (cutting) the necks of one another
Jarir bataate hain: Nabi (SAW) ne mujhse Hajjat-ul-Wada ke dauraan kaha, 'Logon ko khaamosh rehne do aur suno.' Phir unhone (logon se khitaab karte hue) kaha, 'Khabardaar! Mere baad kaafir mat ban jaana (murtad hokar), ek doosre ki gardanein kaat kar.'
