Hadith text
Narrated Salama bin Al-Akwa`:That he visited Al-Hajjaj (bin Yusuf). Al-Hajjaj said, "O son of Al-Akwa`! You have turned on your heels (i.e., deserted Islam) by staying (in the desert) with the bedouins." Salama replied, "No, but Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) allowed me to stay with the bedouin in the desert." Narrated Yazid bin Abi Ubaid: When `Uthman bin `Affan was killed (martyred), Salama bin Al-Akwa` went out to a place called Ar- Rabadha and married there and begot children, and he stayed there till a few nights before his death when he came to Medina
Salama bin Al-Akwa bataate hain ke unhone Al-Hajjaj (bin Yusuf) se mulaakaat ki. Al-Hajjaj ne kaha, 'Aye Al-Akwa ke bete! Tum badawiyon ke saath (registaan mein) rehkar apni edi par ghoom gaye ho (yaani Islam chhod diya hai).' Salama ne jawab diya, 'Nahi, magar Allah ke Rasool (SAW) ne mujhe badawiyon ke saath registaan mein rehne ki ijaazat di thi.' Yazid bin Abi Ubaid bataate hain: Jab Uthman bin Affan shaheed hue, Salama bin Al-Akwa Ar-Rabadha naami jagah gaye aur wahaan shaadi ki aur bacche paida kiye, aur wo wahaan apni maut se kuch raatein pehle tak rahe jab wo Madina wapas aaye.
