Hadith text

Narrated Abu Huraira:Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "There will be three types of people whom Allah will neither speak to them on the Day of Resurrection nor will purify them from sins, and they will have a painful punishment: They are, (1) a man possessed superfluous water (more than he needs) on a way and he withholds it from the travelers. (2) a man who gives a pledge of allegiance to an Imam (ruler) and gives it only for worldly benefits, if the Imam gives him what he wants, he abides by his pledge, otherwise he does not fulfill his pledge; (3) and a man who sells something to another man after the `Asr prayer and swears by Allah (a false oath) that he has been offered so much for it whereupon the buyer believes him and buys it although in fact, the seller has not been offered such a price." (See Hadith No. 838, Vol)

Abu Huraira bataate hain: Allah ke Rasool (SAW) ne farmaya, 'Teen qism ke log honge jinse Allah Qayamat ke din baat nahi karega, na unhein gunaahon se paak karega, aur unhein dardnaak saza milegi: (1) wo aadmi jiske paas raaste par apni zaroorat se zyaada paani ho aur wo use musaafiron se rokta ho, (2) wo aadmi jo kisi Imam (hukmraan) se baiyat leta hai sirf duniya ke faayde ke liye, agar Imam use wo de jo wo chahta hai, to wo apni baiyat par qaayam rehta hai, warna wo apni baiyat poori nahi karta; (3) aur wo aadmi jo Asr ki namaz ke baad kisi doosre aadmi ko kuch bechta hai aur Allah ki (jhoothi) qasam khaata hai ke usse iske badle itna diya gaya hai, isper khareedar uski baat maan leta hai aur use khareed leta hai halaanke asal mein bechne wale ko wo keemat nahi mili thi.'
