Hadith text
Narrated `Abdur-Rahman bin `Abis:Ibn `Abbas was asked, "Did you offer the Id prayer with the Prophet?" He said, "Yes, had it not been for my close relation to the Prophet, I would not have performed it (with him) because of my being too young The Prophet (ﷺ) came to the mark which is near the home of Kathir bin As-Salt and offered the Id prayer and then delivered the sermon. I do not remember if any Adhan or Iqama were pronounced for the prayer. Then the Prophet (ﷺ) ordered (the women) to give alms, and they started stretching out their hands towards their ears and throats (giving their ornaments in charity), and the Prophet (ﷺ) ordered Bilal to go to them (to collect the alms), and then Bilal returned to the Prophet
Abdur Rahman bin Abis bataate hain: Ibn Abbas se pucha gaya, 'Kya aapne Nabi (SAW) ke saath Eid ki namaz padhi thi?' Unhone kaha, 'Haan, agar mera Nabi ke saath khaas rishta na hota, to main isse (unke saath) nahi padhta kyunke main bahut jawaan tha. Nabi (SAW) us nishaan tak aaye jo Kathir bin As-Salt ke ghar ke qareeb hai, aur Eid ki namaz padhaayi aur phir khutba diya. Mujhe yaad nahi ke namaz ke liye koi Azaan ya Iqama kahi gayi thi ya nahi. Phir Nabi (SAW) ne (khawaateen ko) sadqa dene ka hukm diya, aur wo apne haath apne kaanon aur galon ki taraf badhaane lagi (apne zewar sadqe mein dete hue), aur Nabi (SAW) ne Bilal ko unke paas jaane ka hukm diya (sadqa jama karne ke liye), aur phir Bilal Nabi (SAW) ke paas wapas aaye.'
