Hadith text
Narrated Al-A'raj:Abu Huraira said, "You people claim that Abu Huraira narrates many narrations of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ). (Anyhow) with Allah will be our appointment. I was a poor man, and used to stick to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) contented with what will fill my stomach, and the Muhajirin (emigrants) used to be busy trading in the markets, and the Ansar used to be busy looking after their properties. One-day I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying, 'Who will spread his Rida' (a garment covering the upper part of the body) till I finished my speech and then fold it, (i.e. wrap it over your body), in which case he will never forget anything he had heard from me." So I spread my garment which I was wearing; and by Him Who sent Muhammad with the Truth, ever since, I have never forgotten whatever I heard from him (the Prophet)" (See, Hadith No. 119, Vol)
Al-A'raj bataate hain: Abu Huraira ne kaha, 'Tum log kehte ho ke Abu Huraira Allah ke Rasool (SAW) ki bahut si riwaayaten bayaan karta hai. Beshak, hamaari mulaakaat Allah ke saath hogi. Main ek gareeb aadmi tha, aur Allah ke Rasool (SAW) ke saath rehta tha, apna pet bharne se santusht hokar, jabke Muhaajireen bazaaron mein tijaarat mein masroof rehte the aur Ansaar apni jaayadaadon ki dekhbhaal mein masroof rehte the. Ek din maine Allah ke Rasool (SAW) ko ye kehte suna, "Kaun apni Rida (oopar odhne wala kapda) failaayega jab tak main apni baat khatam na kar loon, aur phir usse samet lega (yaani apne jism ke gird lapet lega), (aise shaks ke saath ye hoga ke) wo kabhi kuch nahi bhoolega jo usne mujhse suna."' To maine wo kapda failaaya jo main pehne hue tha; aur us Zaat ki qasam jisne Muhammad ko Haq ke saath bheja, tab se, maine kabhi wo nahi bhoola jo maine unse suna.'
