Hadith text
Narrated Abu Dharr:I entered the mosque while Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was sitting there. When the sun had set, the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "O Abu Dharr! Do you know where this (sun) goes?" I said, "Allah and His Apostle know best." He said, "It goes and asks permission to prostrate, and it is allowed, and (one day) it, as if being ordered to return whence it came, then it will rise from the west." Then the Prophet (ﷺ) recited, "That: "And the sun runs on its fixed course (for a term decreed)," (36.38) as it is recited by `Abdullah
Abu Dharr bataate hain: Main Masjid mein daakhil hua jabke Allah ke Rasool (SAW) wahaan baithe hue the. Jab suraj dhala, Nabi (SAW) ne kaha, 'Aye Abu Dharr! Kya tumhein pata hai ye (suraj) kahaan jaata hai?' Maine kaha, 'Allah aur uska Rasool behtar jaante hain.' Unhone kaha, 'Wo jaata hai aur sajda karne ki ijaazat maangta hai, aur ise ijaazat mil jaati hai, aur (ek din) use hukm diya jaayega ke wo wapas usi jagah jaaye jahaan se aaya tha, phir wo Paschim se nikalega.' Phir Nabi (SAW) ne padha, 'Aur suraj apni muqarrar rah par chalta hai (ek nishchit muddat ke liye),' (36:38) jaisa Abdullah ise padhte the.
