Hadith text
Narrated Anas:Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "The believers will be assembled on the Day of Resurrection and they will say, 'Let us look for someone to intercede for us with our Lord so that He may relieve us from this place of ours.' So they will go to Adam and say, 'You are Adam, the father of mankind, and Allah created you with His Own Hands and ordered the Angels to prostrate before you, and He taught you the names of all things; so please intercede for us with our Lord so that He may relieve us.' Adam will say, to them, 'I am not fit for that,' and then he will mention to them his mistake which he has committed
Anas bataate hain: Allah ke Rasool (SAW) ne farmaya, 'Momineen Qayamat ke din jama kiye jaayenge aur wo kahenge, "Chalo hum kisi ko dhoondhein jo hamare Rab se hamaari sifaarish kare taake wo humein hamaari is jagah se raahat de." To wo Aadam ke paas jaayenge aur kahenge, "Aap Aadam hain, insaaniyat ke baap, aur Allah ne aapko apne khud ke Haathon se banaaya aur farishton ko aapke saamne sajda karne ka hukm diya, aur aapko sab cheezon ke naam sikhaaye; isliye barah-e-meharbaani hamare Rab se hamaari sifaarish kijiye taake wo humein raahat de." Aadam kahenge (unse), "Main is kaam ke laayak nahi," aur phir wo unhein apni galti yaad dilaayenge jo unhone ki thi.'
